Christmas 2010

We had an awesome Christmas this year, I couldn't have asked for much more.
This year I actually made it a point to take pictures of our families with EVERYONE in it (not one person missing because they had to take the picture, and then I later creepily Photoshop their face in, haha).
James wanted to take a picture to print and frame as a gift to our families.  I love it, double pregnancy chin and all. :)
Our Christmas Eve feast, a 20 pounder.
I finally got some pictures where Mike & Tammy weren't hiding from the camera.
And finally, the family pictures. :)

Mmm.

Nothing says Christmas like a bowl of peppermint ice cream.

Oh, the holidays...

Well, the results are in.  I have a 4.0 GPA!  I faxed my transcript to Geico this morning to receive the student discount.  Saving money is never a bad thing.  In fact, it's usually quite the contrary.  It's now winter break and all of the out-of-town college kids are rushing back to their home town.  This makes for a good opportunity to catch up.  I'm excited mainly because I get to start going grocery shopping on Thursdays again, instead of going to class.  I know, exciting.  But in January it'll be back to normal with school starting.  Come fall of 2010 I'll be driving to the new campus they're building, with James!  We went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party as a spur of the moment thing about a week ago, and can I just say that Gavyn LOVED it?  I'm sure that he was amused with it when he was two, but now that he's almost three, he was so giddy about it!  He kept screaming "Mitty mouse!" and we went on the Buzz Lightyear ride about three times.  Gavyn's birthday is right around the corner.  We'll be taking him to Disney again and he's getting his Power Wheels Mustang.  Unfortunately, Gavyn's car will no longer match Daddy's =(.  Rachel's birthday was on the 11th, Tyler's is on the 21st, we're going to Clearwater on Christmas Eve to see James' family, and then it's Christmas day!  I'm going to make a glazed ham with a bunch of delicious family recipes as sides.  It's turning out to be a wonderful month, as usual.  I love this time of year.  I think we're going to gear up for it tonight with some Christmas classics, cookies, and candles...  After grocery shopping, of course.

Oh, Christmas Tree.

I had another great day yesterday.  I checked my online classes and I'm completely finished with my English class with a 94, and my Microcomputer Applications class is done minus the SLO exam that I can't do until next month, with a 95.

I volunteered/observed the kindergarten class at Chocachatti and, surprisingly, I think that I'd do well with that grade, too.  I'd really just prefer to teach the lower grades, I want to avoid the FCAT teaching - that generally begins in third grade.  The teacher was actually Teacher of the Year last year, and she has always taught the same grade.  Even though they're still tiny and hyper, they're pretty well-behaved, and they're fun at that age.

We put our Christmas tree and decorations up yesterday and lit our Winter oils from Bath and Body Works.  Our house looks and smells like a Winter Wonderland.  I love this time of the year.  The subtle glow from the Christmas tree, it's just gives me the best feeling.  Plus, if I wake up in the middle of the night, I don't have to use my cell phone as a flashlight to find the kitchen.  I need to order some new Disney ornaments, we get new ones every year.  We already have our ornament that shows 2009 on it, we bought it when we were at Disney for Gavyn's 2nd birthday.

Well, that's all for now, folks!
