PB&J Pizza

The other night Gavyn asked me for a PB&J right before we started making pizza for dinner.  I told him that we were going to make pizzas and that he could help, and if he ate all of his cheese pizza he could have a PB&J pizza (joking around, thinking he'd be grossed out).  Well, James and his brother overheard this and made sure to keep mentioning it to Gavyn and egging him on.  He insisted, and I couldn't break my promise...  So, he indulged in a slice of PB&J pizza.  AND LIKED IT!
He actually sounded so convincing about how good it was (and how he wanted another slice), that James tried it...  But came to a slightly different conclusion.

They're crazy.
And I love them for it.

Christmas 2010

We had an awesome Christmas this year, I couldn't have asked for much more.
This year I actually made it a point to take pictures of our families with EVERYONE in it (not one person missing because they had to take the picture, and then I later creepily Photoshop their face in, haha).
James wanted to take a picture to print and frame as a gift to our families.  I love it, double pregnancy chin and all. :)
Our Christmas Eve feast, a 20 pounder.
I finally got some pictures where Mike & Tammy weren't hiding from the camera.
And finally, the family pictures. :)

Pregnant She-Hulk

I just thought I'd post this, so I can laugh at it later when I ask James if my pregnancy hormones ever got to me:

(As seen on a pregnancy forum that I frequent)

Has anyone else noticed that their hormones are getting the best of them lately?  That, or 99% of the human population has recently becoming increasingly more annoying and ignorant?  I feel like I'm going to hulk out at any given moment.

To which I received responses like, "I think it's the others. People are really really annoying. We're all really nice and sweet and patient :)."
Haha, it's just the kind of day I've had.

Sunday, December 5, 2010

Oh, hi there.

I know that I haven't updated this thing in forever, but I wanted to write a few things so that I wouldn't forget.  I'm now a little over 30 weeks pregnant.  My due date is still February 10th and the doctors say that she's growing right on track.  She's a very active baby, so much so that our doctor, midwife, and the ultrasound tech have had difficulty getting her to stay still to hear her heartbeat or take photos of her.  In fact, just this morning she's been kicking me so much that it's startled me enough to jump at least twice.  You can see her little movements from the outside now at this point.  It just seems like it's gone by sooo fast already.

Gavyn is really adorable when it comes to the baby.  I've made it a point to let him hang out in her room and play with her toys, explaining to him that she's going to share when she gets here just like he's going to (hint, hint).  I've helped him put the Lotso bear (from Toy Story 3) that I got for her in her bouncer and high chair and everything so that he feels involved.  Tammy bought us a cloth version of The Very Hungry Caterpillar (which was the first book that Gavyn could semi-read), so we've been practicing that so that he can read it to the baby when she's here.  I'm a little nervous about how he'll react, I don't want him to feel left out or jealous, but I think especially as she gets older he'll appreciate the companionship.  Last night I took a video of him (I'll have to upload it later) and asked him what the baby does to Mommy's belly, and he stuck his belly out and said that she "pops me," lol.  When I asked him what sound she made at the doctor he said, "buh bum, buh bum" (her heartbeat).  He's so adorable, and he's getting so big.  I want to bring him to Disney again soon but I haven't decided when.  We have almost two weeks off coming up this month which will be our last vacation as a family of three, so I'm thinking of going then.  I asked him if he wanted a birthday party, to go to Chuck E. Cheese, Disney World, or Grinchmas...  And he said, "Disney Waaarrld" so he can "See Buzz Lightyear and shoot the aliens."

James and I put up all of our (inside) Christmas decorations and got a bunch of new ones to go along with the new house.  The Disney Store had a huge sale with 50% off Christmas ornaments so we went a little crazy on that (our tree is all Disney, bulbs, and a few special ones).  We also got a new fire bowl so whenever James has a night off we've been sitting outside roasting marshmallows.  Since we've been working opposite shifts, we haven't been able to spend nearly as much time together, hence why we took the vacation prior to the time off after the baby is here, but we work with what we've got.  Once Olivia's here, I'm taking 8 weeks off and James is taking off 4.  It'll be really nice to have him home and be able to spend time with him and have him help out with the baby and Gavyn.  We've had a busy year, and still have a lot to look forward to within the next few months (vacation, Christmas, Gavyn's birthday, Olivia)...  And I couldn't be more excited.  I also found out that two of my friends have recently gotten engaged and I'm going to be in both of their weddings in 2012, so I think that 2011 has a lot in store for us, too.  I'm just so happy, in general, and hope that good things keep coming our way.
